New Texas Store?

American Girl announced that at the end of this summer they will be opening up an American Girl Store in Houston! I don't know how I feel about this since there is already a store in Texas. I mean I live in Texas but I don't really want another store. I think other states should get them before they start giving states multiple stores. Also they are opening on in St. Luis and I feel the same way. BUT that does no mean that I will not be making a trip there when it opens!!! I posted on my moms facebook page to tell her about it.

I just found these the other day of Christmas 2002 when I got Molly. I was looking for pictures of when I got Samantha but I could not find them. That Christmas are house was still not rebuilt after our house fire and we were living at our friends house but we spent Christmas at my grandmothers and that is where Santa came.

Both of these dresses I LOVE! hopefully I can get one today but I dont think I will be able to since I just spent $135 earlier this week :(

I like that her outfits are coming with these it is a cute new touch!

Yay its 2012! Mckenna is the Girl of the Year and I will be getting her today after church!!!! Typically I have to wait till about 1-2am to see the offical website with all her stuff but this year at 12:10 her stuff was up

I just now purchased the 4 mini dolls I don't have and the shelf for them! I ended up getting a total of $145 for Christmas from relatives so I was able to finish my collection! I got Addy, Rebecca, Josefina, and Kaya. They were out of all of these except for 1 Josefina at the Dallas store so I had to buy them on the website.

10 years with Samantha

Today is 10 years of me collecting American Girl dolls!

Christmas 2001 I recieved Samantha as my first American Girl doll. Then I opened her close to the beginging because i got some American Girl stuff and I would have guessed I got her if i got clothes for her but no doll. I cant believe it has been this long of collecting. Hopefully I will be able to keep my collection growing through the years as I get even older.

Samantha has gone to Flordia twice, New York 3 times, Washington DC twice, Mount Rushmore, a cruise and many other vacations!

She has also taken a trip to the doll hospital after only having her for 2 years because her hair was fried and her head kept coming off.

This upcoming Tuesday I am suppose to have surgery on my wrist and I will definitely be bringing her along with me. Even when I get shots I have to bring her (I don't handle needles well).

I am looking forward to another 10 years of collecting!

Today was my last day of class in college for this semester. My roommate and I exchanged Christmas presents since she is going home tomorrow and we wont see her till mid January when classes start back! And guess what she got me..... a $25 American Girl Gift Card!!!!!! I was so excited that I went to the store tonight with my sister when I got home. I got Kanani's PJ's!

My reason for getting her pj's was that they only had 2 left including the one I got. Also there was a lot of all the other outfits, but with that said there was no more of Lu'au Set outfit.

Today we went and saw the two authors for the new historical characters and the American Girl Boutique & Bistro Dallas! It was a lot of fun. I bought two books for them to sign and I bought the Marrie-Grace Mini doll. There was not really a line but someone was always getting something signed. I liked that they also gave out the posters for the dolls. They were really sweet!

I wont be home next weekend or Monday, so I am posting pictures of my dolls in their costumes today! I don't have enough costumes for all my dolls so this year I decided only to dress up four of them. I went with a Disney theme for most of them. This semester has gone by so fast that I am happy that when Christmas comes around I wont be in school. I wish I could of had a better background for these pictures but since it is night, outside was not an option. Another Frame

Yesterday I went by the Michael's I got the shape frame at to see if they still had the Shine frame. It turns out they had two so I bought one. I think the only one i need is the Smile frame. On my way home from school tomorrow i am going to stop by two Michael's to see if they have the frame. The "E" was hard to cut out the middle so in person it looks not as good but i really like how all three look similar in color and design.

Today I had to get more blood work done at the doctors. Last Thursday i had it done in my right arm and today I had it done in my left. This time i knew that i would be giving blood so I brought home Samantha with me. I took her with me and squeezed her while they were taking it out. At least today i did not spit on the lady or cry. My mom said that i can go to American Girl this weekend and buy another mini doll but I don't know if i really will be able too. I also don't know if i want to get one of Kanani's outfits. The end of the year is coming up and I don't have any of Kanani's outfits or accessories but I do have 3 mini dolls.

Michael's Craft

Today I went by Michael's for the American Girl Craft. It was cute but time consuming. You could make a bakers hat and a plate of breakfast. I thought that they were going to give out actual bakers hats that were made out of material, but it turns out they were made from tissue paper a piece of scrapbook paper. After I finished both, I got a little book that you could color in. I went to Michael's for a sheet of yellow scrapbook paper to finish decorating my frames.

Wednesday my mom had to go to Micheal's to get some crafts for her daycare kids and while there I saw one of the American Girl frames on sale for $1.50. They had the Shine on and the one with three shapes. I ended up getting the one with the flower, heart, and rectangle. I also got a new sticker.

I tried to paint my frame that says Friends but when the paint got on it there was lines from the paint brush. I thought that they were actual wood but it is actually a plastic fake wood. I ended up putting scrapbook paper on both of them. The poka dot paper is from the big pack of American Girl scrapbook paper.

Tomorrow I am planning on going to Micheal's for the American Girl craft. I might bring a friend with me which will be fun. If i go by myself it might be a little weird because of my age.

On this day ten years ago I was in the 3rd grade. I had no clue what had happened because I was on my way to school and just getting there because my school started at 8:50am. My school did a lot of things to help like collecting money everyday for about a month to send to New York for the people effected. Our principle, Mr. Love, would put on a patriotic hat and pull around a red wagon that was decorated to collect the money.We also put on a program and I remember we say I'm Proud to be an American and did a routine with steamers that were read white and blue.

In 2006 I went to New York with my family and we visited Ground Zero. Back then even about 5 years after, where the towers were was still a bunch of rubble. While we were there we went to the Statue of Liberty and the day we went there was suppose to be another attack in New York from London but the terrorist were caught. When we were trying to enter the island we had to go through full body detectors that puffed air up to detect if we had explosives and when we left we saw a bunch of SWAT officers.
This past May I went again to New York we visited Ground Zero again and it was under construction. They were still finishing up building the memorial and you could not see the beauty that it turned out to be.While we were there I was eating cheese cake and it was announced that Saddam Hussein was killed. We were very overcautious for the rest of the trip.

Last September I went to Washington DC and visited the Arlington Cemetery and went to the Pentagon and sat at the memorial for the people who died on the plane crash and in the pentagon.

To me it is crazy to think that i had not American Girl dolls at this time. That Christmas i was given Samantha and then January 21, 2002 my family had are own disaster when our house burn on fire.

Today I have been watching MSNBC on their coverage of what events are happening today. What I really found amazing was that they played the actual coverage from September 11, 2001.

Yesterday I helped a group of students put 3,000 flags in the front mall in front of the University Tower. We worked from 5:30am-9:45am putting them in. My legs and hand have hurt all day yesterday and today. Later on tonight I will help take them down. It made me fell good to do it.

Today I wanted to get out of my dorm room and off campus so I got in my car and located the narest Micheal's on my phone and then I was off! To my surprise it was not to far away and easiy to get to. That means I will definatly be taking more little trips there to get some stuff.

I have been wanting something for my room since I moved in, and I remembered that American Girl had this cute pink organizer. It is typically $30 and I had a coupon for 40% off so I got it for $18! The store also had many of the stickers that are $2 for $1 so I got a Kirstin sticker.

I am happy I got out for a while and actually spent some money on good deals (even though I did in Dallas this past weekend)

This past Monday after my family went to the Labor Day Parade in our city I took my sisters and their friend to American Girl Dallas with me (in my new car). My mom gave me money to buy a mini doll. So far I only had two of the collecting ones, Samantha and Felicity. I am hoping to collect them all but I don't know if that will happen.

I wanted to get Kit but they were out of stock there so I ended up getting Kirsten. My plan for getting the dolls:

So today has been pretty good. I got my new camera in the mail this afternoon! I ordered it on Friday night, so it got delivered fast. I also will be getting in the mail on Wednesday my new bedding for my dorm that we purchased from Macy's.

Today American Girl also officially announced the soon release of Cécile Rey and Marie-Grace Gardner. What is different about these two, is that customers may pre-order the dolls and there extras before they officially sell the products. Something that they also did was release a song that supports a charity. I bought the song on Itunes today. I liked that when you go to buy the song, Itunes tells you that $0.90 is donated. August 29th American Girl will be hosting a benefit, it cost $50 per a person. At first I thought that it was over priced but back in 2008 my mom and I went to a benefit at American Girl in honor of Kit that helped build houses I believe and looking back I think we paid the same amount. I wish I could go but I will be in college by then. October 22 and 23 the author of one of the books is coming to the Dallas American Girl store but what stinks is that I have family night at my university.

My opinion of the new dolls is that they are cute and have some cute stuff but I do not think that American Girl should be introducing as many dolls as they are. I do want to eventually get these dolls when i can but the GOY dolls come first to me. I personally cant wait for the 2012 GOY doll to see all her stuff and the movie!

Here are the pictures of the things I got at the Kansas City American Girl Store. I found out the the Kansas City Store and the Denver store are the only ones with out a restaurant. This came to a surprise to me when I got there because i assumed that they all did. My friends had fun in the store. They made fun of me a lot and we had lots of laughs! It was a great memory to have. I got the coin purse, Ruthie, and the Kansas City Shirt. We only spent an hour there and we had to miss the baseball game that we had tickets to. Our adviser's daughter started crying when her dad would not buy her a American Girl doll but he took her to Build a Bear and she made a dog. I used my $50 gift card towards my purchase so my friend Courtney and I say that she owns half of Ruthie. I told her that she owns the pretty side. Both friends say that they will not let their dolls get AG dolls and they will not let them in the room where I will keep them when I get older.

So Monday I leave for Kansas City for my competition! And my mom asked my teacher and we will most likely be able to go to American Girl and when we do ask of right now I will be getting Ruthie!!! I have all the "Friend dolls" but Ruthie and Elizabeth for my dolls right now. Since I can no longer get Elizabeth Ruthie would be my best bet to get! My mom said I can get the Kansas City shirt there but that is it. I am just happy that she is letting me over my gift card.

I might not get Ruthie if i get there and want to finish my collection of mini dolls or want to get more of Kanani's collection. Or if i see all the new stuff people have been talking about on doll diaries.

So yesterday I graduated from high school!

Last night I had a party and one of my friends stopped by to give me a present. I did not open it till later that night after she was gone. She gave me a $50 gift card to American Girl!!!!! I was so shocked that when more people left I called her to thank her. Unlike if she got the card from the store she ordered it on the web site and it came in this folder and inside it had a catalog and gift card and a card that she got to choose what it said. When I talked with her she said she got it because I had talked about going to the Kansas City store when we go in 2 weeks for a competition.

Yesterday my law teacher surprised the president and me (vice president) with a gift for the end of the year. I got this outfit for my dolls and my friend got a year of a magazine he loves.

Tonight i was watching Toddlers and Tiaras on TLC On Demand. I was watching the 7 episode this season with Isabelle and Eden. At the beginning they showed Isabelle's room and she had 2 American Girl dolls! They were Kit and i believe Samantha. She also had a matching outfit that she and Samantha wore to the photo shot. I love to see other people with American Girl dolls on TV and while out and about.

So our computers have not worked since we got back from florida so i have not been able to update. This post will be about Christmas!

So for Christmas i go a thing of popcorn from the American Girl store, a lolly pop from the american girl store, and Lanie's racoon in a can! my mom also surprised us that we each would get $100 to do what ever with! i thought then that i was going to get the girl of the year for 2011 because i thought that by the time my would buy her Felicity would be sold out.

We went to Disney world Dec. 30 and 31st. On the 30th we went to Hollywood studios and i brought Samantha in my bag. then on New Years Eve we wanted to go to Magic Kingdom but it was closed because it had too many people at 75 thousand people. We waited at the Downtown Disney to see if MK would open back up at there i bought the Cinderella dress for my dolls. We ended up going to Epcot that night and the fireworks were spectacular! It was an awesome Christmas break!

So in about 7 hours we will leave to go to Florida! We will be driving all today and part of tomorrow. For an early Christmas present my mom gave us our new cell phones! Since we got the cell phones and our going to Florida and disney World we will not get a lot of presents. I will be taking Jess and Samantha with me. I am taking Jess because i am bringing her boat and i am bringing Samantha because i brought her when i went to Florida when we went in 2001.

So I did not post when i decorated my room for christmas but here are the pictures of my dolls! I used my christmas tree box and some shoe boxes so that each doll can be seen. it is harder now with so many dolls to make them all fit around the Christmas tree but i still manage to make them fit!

For this Christmas my family is going to Florida and staying in a house on the beach so i wont get much this year sadly for Christmas but i cant wait! We will leaving on Thursday as of right now. i dont know which doll i will bring.

Happy Thanksgiving! In my family we always watch the Macy's Day Parade and and eat biscuit's with gravy and potatoes and onions for breakfast then we help cook and then eat! After our thanksgiving meal we all look through the paper and write our Christmas lists while watching Christmas movies like my Rockette's Christmas Spectacular DVD.

I finished up dressing all my dolls for Christmas today. Surprisingly I had enough outfits for all my dolls. the only doll that does not have any actual Christmas outfit is Emily and that is because I like that dress on her. This year I tried to kind of switch up the outfits that each wear (only the girl of the year). It took my 3 hours to dress them and do their hair. I got the little trees out of my closet but I am not taking them out till I get my "big" tree for my room out.

I put her Christmas dress on her tonight and I am slowly doing it for all my dolls, because it takes about two hours to dress and do all my dolls hair so i thought that doing it slowly would be best, and then Thursday- Saturday this upcoming week I will get the tree for them out and decorate my room!

Meeting Jacqueline Dembar Greene

Today I was able to go to American Girl and meet Jacqueline Dembar Greene the author of the Rebecca series, it was from 2-4pm in Dallas. I went with my mom and since i do not have Rebecca i brought Lanie with me. Since i did not have any of her books we went to two Half Price Books to see if they had any but they did not so i actually had to buy an American Girl book for full price at the store. Jacqueline Dembar Greene was very nice and reminded me of a sweet grandmother was was different about getting to meet her was that on the table she had some items that could be found in the Rebecca books like the cupid doll and doily. I also had her sign my poster of Rebecca that i had brought from home, but since they were passing them out i also grabbed an extra one.

A few weeks back my siblings all got something and i did not so my mom said that i could get an American Girl Magazine the next time i could find one so she also let me get that.

What was neat is that they decorated the trees with letters that girls had written to them which goes with the theme of the catalogs and web store as well.

American Girl Stores this 2011 year will be continuing to allow girls to make crafts for the dolls that have been archived. Since the archiving of Samantha and Nellie they have not had any crafts for them and the same for Kirsten but i was looking on the website and saw the crafts! i am very excited because i now don't feel like the dolls just evaporated out of thin air but American Girls is still celebrating their stories.

Halloween and the Rangers

Halloween was yesturday and i did not do anything! execpt for pass out some candy to some kids who came by, but most of them were friends of our family. My dogs went crazy all night! If you ask me what i did while everyone was trick-or-treating i was applying to Universities and designing my senior ad for the year book that was due yesterday at midnight. the lovely things you get to do as a senior in high school! I still need to take pictures of my dolls in their costums. i figured out that dog costumes work good for dolls if they are the size XXS ( i have a Chihuahua).

So i live in Texas and have been following the Rangers in the World series. What is cool is that i know several people who were able to attend some of the games when they were here. Sad to say that the Giants won the whole thing.

Today my sister had a soccer game but was at her friends so we had to bring her clothes to the game for her. My other sister and i could not find them so my mom came up stairs to help us. she got upset at how messy there room was so she went into my room to see if it was messy too. Right before she walked in she got mad at me because a bunch of American girl stuff is in the top of the hall closet and she says that it is taking other peoples space up. then she walked into my room and saw my dolls in their Halloween costumes an was like "That is just too cute i cant get mad at you now!" thankfully i cleaned my room up good last night and i put Samantha in her Minnie Mouse dress.

Friday i got my senior picture proofs in the mail! i don't like half of them but i like the ones of me and Samantha and a few others.

So yesturday we went to a shopping strip to look at a Ross for some clothes for my Washington trip and also we found out that there was a Gamestop next door and since it is my brothers birthday Thursday my grandmother took him in there to get his present. there happened to be a Barnes and Nobles to see if they had the contest for the doll and to see the new books. I did not know if i was allowed to take pictures so i turned the flash off on my camera so that no one would see as much. i really want te at that they sell for $10.95.

So Thursday right after we got back from lunch in french a girl came to the door and asked for me. i ad know clue why she wanted me besides that she was in year book (cause she was wearing her pass) and when i went in the hall to talk to her she was like "So you collect American Girls and take them to Competitions " and i went "Yes, they pretty much stay in the hotel room and the girls i stay in the rooms with either love them or get freked out by them, which makes it even better" i talked to her for about 15 minutes about me and my law competitions and how i have excelled in them and my love for collecting American Girl dolls. My Law teacher actually emailed the yearbook teacher back because he was looking for people with unusual hobbies! So there is a good chance that i will be able to be in the year book with my dolls for my senior year!

American Girl has officially announced on the store page that the new store will be in Kansas City and will open on September 4, 2010. I don't know really what to think of it because the stores are becoming to common. when i was little all they had was New York and Chicago, and then i can remember when the Chicago one opened and how special it would be to go there but now there are a lot to choose from and it takes the little spark of special away. (though I am happy I have an American Girl store by me)

Meeting Valerie Tripp Again

So yesterday i went to see Valerie Tripp at American Girl Boutique and Bistro Dallas and had so much fun waiting in line and meet Valerie Tripp for the second time! We got there about 2 pm and we had 2 little girls and 3 older with us. I brought a lot of books for her to sign but i was not able to get all mine signed by her that she has written because that is like over 30! after we talked to the manager told her that she could not talk for long with each girl because it was getting close to 3 pm and that was the time it was suppose to stop

Kits Tree House : she told us that she got the idea for this book from when her husband surprised her with remodeling their guest bedroom and even though she did not like it so pretended to and it is still that way now.

Samantha's Bicycle: she remembered all the times that she fell off of her bike as a girl

Josephina: when they were deciding on what Josephina should look like this one man who was Hispanic knew that her air texture should be like his so since he had long hair he cut a chunk of his hair off and they sent it to the factory so that they could make er hair texture more real.

Hopscotch Hill: on of her friends is a teacher and she would tell her stories of some of the issues that her students had so she used those in her books.

This summer I have not gotten a whole lot of American Girl books at Half Price Books. When we go I have been getting movies and CD's instead because my sister just got her Ipod touch. But I did find the old Josephina Story Collection Book for $10 and I was really happy because Valerie Tripp wrote it but and she is coming to American Girl Dallas on Friday to sign autographs. i cant wait even though i have seen her before.

So i have not updated in a while because our internet is messed up so we have to go places that have WIFI or to the Library so right now i am at the library. On Tues day we went to AG Dallas for the Inner Star University Day and it was a lot of fun. we brought the two daycare girls and one of my moms friends and her daughter. we did the crafts and looked at all the new stuff! i only with the historical dolls came with codes for inner star. They also have a lot of new "AG Store Exclusive" stuff that i want like this red zip up dress.

June 21 i left to go to Kansas City for SkillsUSA National Leadership Conference i brought Samantha with me. On all my trips i have only brought my white dolls so on my next trip which is to Washington DC in September i will probably bring Addy with me. We had a blast in Kansas and my friends would love to hold Samantha and one called her "Baby" and another called her "Sam" and told her to call him "Uncle Thomas".

So life has been crazy like usually last week i was at leadership camp in the middle of nowhere and this past week i was at TLU for Texas Girls State and just got home tonight and then had a birthday party for my uncle and then saw Toy Story 3! Monday morning i am leaving for Kansas City, Missouri for SkillsUSA National Conference and i have not decided which doll i am going to bring. Right now my room is a mess because my uncle is moving out of it so i am moving around some stuff after i get it all situated i will take some pictures.

Today i celebrated my 17th birthday at American Girl with three of my closest friends! it was a whole lot of fun. two of my friends met me at my house and then we headed out and met my other friend at the mall. then we looked around American Girl for a minute and then went to the Bistro. the host was shocked that all the dolls belonged to me. i could not fit all my dolls at the table so the rest sat at a booth. i love how now they give the dolls the little pink plates and the tea cups. there was not a lot of people in the Bistro eating but everyone there was celebrating their birthday. after we ate we had cake and ice cream. then i opened my presents. i got a white shirt (for my competitions), $20 gift card to half price books, 2 charms from James Avery, the memory board mirror from American Girl Crafts at Micheal's. after we were all done we walked around the store. i like how they have remodeled it with the hair salon up stairs. when we were taking the group picture we met some of the works we know like Richard who is the manager of the Bistro.

So it has been exactly one year since i started this blog! it is hard to believe that. i was just looking at every single blog when i got to the end the date said may 14th and then it clicked that it was today. i am very happy that i was able to document all my things i have been able to do with my american girl dolls! i cant wait for more years to come!

My Birthday!

so yesterday was my 17th birthday and it was awesome! Tuesday night i had my family birthday party with also friends of our family. we ate hamburgers and hung out. i had a cute cake that reminded me of a marshmallow dipped in fondue like at American Girl. i got $45 is cash and some other gift cards and gifts. then last night i had my NSH banquet which was fun. all day at school i was getting sung to and one of my friends made me cupcakes and on Saturday morning my dad is going to take me to lunch and go shopping.

today i stayed home for the first half of the day from school so that i could get the stuff to make my invitations for my birthday party on Saturday which is going to be at American Girl Boutique and Bistro! i went to Micheal's and bought the big pad of scrap booking paper because it has one page that just says american girl all over it. and i also got some pink ribbon for the invitations. then when we got home we made them real quick and then i went to school. i invited 4 of my friends but only 3 can go because one has to go to a graduation which stinks but thats ok i know we will still have a blast!

At American Girl Dallas they had Addy's paper lantern craft to do so i went and did it (not like i have plenty of them already) i had to hurry and do it fast cause someone was coming over for lunch but i was really happy to see that they remodeled some of the displays that the dolls are in.

Bad News! my mom broke my sisters camera so we don't have a camera anymore so now i have to use my phone again! i am so upset because i am suppose to go to American Girl again tomorrow and eat (fingers cross) so i wanted to take some pictures there.

today i went to American Girl Dallas for the Rebecca Star craft and i also went for lunch. the only problem is last night i fell asleep without making reservations so when we got there, there was no openings for lunch but i was not too upset cause my mom bought me 3 new items: Lanie's Butterfly Outfit, Mar/April American Girl Magazine, and Pink Heart Outfit (AG store exclusive). the heart outfit is one that if you spend $40 you can buy the outfit for $15. Even though we only spent $34 before tax the cashier let us get it which i was really happy about because some can be mean and make you spend at least exactly $40 before they will let you purchase the outfit. it was hard to pick between the island outfit or the heart outfit but i figured that they had less of the heart outfit since they were only showing the outfit on one side of the store's cash registers and not the other side or upstairs. i am so happy that i finally got Lanie's butterfly outfit because it is so cute! it looks even cuter now that i have it and can put it on MY Lanie! oh and what i really liked about going to the craft was that they gave away Rebecca Posters after you finished decorating your name star. i now have 6 American Girl Poster: Kirsten, Molly, Rebecca, Mia, Chrissa, and Lanie!

Corpus Christi

So Jess and i are in Corpus Christi for my Law competition. i got a lot of looks when i got on the bus with her, what is funny is that i have taken a doll on all my law trips and some of my friends have never seen any of them. My advisor actually took her from my seat when we got off and ate lunch Wednesday and would not give her to me for awhile but it funny cause the only thing left in my seat was one of her shoes. we leave for home tomorrow night and i dont want to leave cause i am having fun because my team has already done one of the competitions that i am in and then i am about to leave with my other team for competition and today i have been campaigning because i am running for State Officer and i have passed it through the written test, interview, and speech so now all the delegates get to vote and the winners will be announced tomorrow night at closing ceremonies.

Snow and souvenirs

I just finish downloading the pictures from the trip on the main house computer (because my lap top does not have the software for the camera) and when i got up to my room i saw that snow had collected on my windowsill so i went back down stairs to look at the back yard and it is covered in snow! so i ran up stairs and grabbed Kailey and Jess and put them in the only two winter close i still have out and took them outside to take a picture of them. Kailey's legs are lose so she cant stand up that great by herself so the pictures are of them sitting down.

On the trip i got this snow globe. it does not say Galveston on it but i will remember where i got it.

At the Zoo i got this little bean bag elephant for Kailey's souvenir from the trip.

i also got a lot of sea shells and sand so that i can make a craft for my dolls with it and use the shells and sand in some of their summer scenes.

Vacation in Galveston!

So Kailey and i just got back from a mini vacation to Galveston for my sisters 13th birthday! we brought with us Me, my 2 sisters, 2 friends (each sister brought one friend), 2 other little girls and my mom. we left Friday morning at 9 am and we got back tonight at 9:30 pm. Our hotel was in Texas City (about 10 minutes from Galveston and 30 minutes from Houston).

Day 1 (Thursday)
-We left at about 9 am for the road, when we got to Houston we ate at Chili's which was at about 3:30pm. They we headed for our hotel. when we got there the rooms were not ready so we went to Wal Mart to get some flip flops and a brace for my arm since i hurt it (it would not be a vacation with out me hurting something). then we went back to the hotel and changed into our swim suits and headed to the beach, 5:15 pm. When we got to the beach it was chilly, so i was glad i had my sweater. the other girls went swiming in the beach while i just collected seashells and took pictures. i brought Kailey to the beach and got a few pictures of her. After about 45 minutes we left and we drove around Galveston looking at the beach and seeing ow things have changed since hurican Ike. Then we went to Wendy's and got Frostys and then headed to the hotel. Once we got to the hotel we went swimming and sat in the hot tub. Afterwards we took showers and got ready for bed and watched Did You Hear About the Morgan?. i also did some of my homework before going to bed at 12:05am.Day 2 (Friday)
-I woke up at 8:45 am and went down to the lobby and got some breakfast. then brought it up to the room so that i could straighten my hair and get ready. we left the hotel at about 10:30 am and headed to the Houston Zoo. it took us 45 minutes to find a place to park, it was so crowded, 1pm! we thought that since we had a Dallas Zoo membership that we would get in free but we had to pay 1/2 of the price which was still expensive for 8 people. we first went to the childrens area and looked at some of the animals then we went to get some lunch. For Lunch i got a hamburger which was $4.25! After lunch we went to see the lions and all the other animals. we went to the gift shop and i got a Elephant for Kailey that is colorful. (I brought Kailey to the Zoo) Then my mom told the girls that we were leaving just to make them happy but what she did not tell them is that we were going the long way that we had not seen to get back to the entrance. we left at about 5:30 pm and headed to the beach. We walked around the beach and then went to the rain forest cafe to eat but when we got there the wait was three hours so that would put us at sitting down at 10 or 11pm. so instead we went to a gift shop and got gifts for ourselves and for our friends and family. i got a snow globe for me and a necklace for my best friend. then we went to Wendy's and got dinner and Little Cesar's, then headed to the hotel. when we got to the hotel we got in out swim suits and headed for the pool. at 11pm we went up to the room and got ready for bed. after my shower i tried to stay up and watch Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen but i was so tired that i fell asleep.
Day 3 (Saturday, Today)
-I woke up right as my mom was leaving to go to the lobby and get breakfast so i told her to get me some and bring it up. i got up and started to pack before everyone got done with breakfast. then i did my hair and got Kailey dressed for the day. we left the hotel after loading it up with all of our stuff at 10:30 am and headed to the beach. we played on the beach for an hour and then went to rain forest cafe to eat lunch. it was a lot of fun. i got a burger and fries. When we left it started raining and got colder. We went back to the beach and took a few more pictures on some rocks and then went to two more gift shops before leaving to go home. i got some cute pictures of Kailey and sandy on the rocks with the beach in the back. we got home at about 9:30 pm and what was funny is that this morning we were at the beach playing in the water and got home and it was SNOWING! it is the first day of Spring and it snowed!
We had a lot of fun on the trip! i am really happy because i only go to school for 2 days this week then i get to go to corpus for a contest! so i am off to the beach on Wednesday and i am thinking about bringing Jess with me this time.
