Day 1 (Thursday)-We left at about 9 am for the road, when we got to Houston we ate at Chili's which was at about 3:30pm. They we headed for our hotel. when we got there the rooms were not ready so we went to Wal Mart to get some flip flops and a brace for my arm since i hurt it (it would not be a vacation with out me hurting something). then we went back to the hotel and changed into our swim suits and headed to the beach, 5:15 pm. When we got to the beach it was chilly, so i was glad i had my sweater. the other girls went swiming in the beach while i just collected seashells and took pictures. i brought Kailey to the beach and got a few pictures of her. After about 45 minutes we left and we drove around Galveston looking at the beach and seeing ow things have changed since hurican Ike. Then we went to Wendy's and got Frostys and then headed to the hotel. Once we got to the hotel we went swimming and sat in the hot tub. Afterwards we took showers and got ready for bed and watched Did You Hear About the Morgan?. i also did some of my homework before going to bed at 12:05am.
Day 2 (Friday)-I woke up at 8:45 am and went down to the lobby and got some breakfast. then brought it up to the room so that i could straighten my hair and get ready. we left the hotel at about 10:30 am and headed to the Houston Zoo. it took us 45 minutes to find a place to park, it was so crowded, 1pm! we thought that since we had a Dallas Zoo membership that we would get in free but we had to pay 1/2 of the price which was still expensive for 8 people. we first went to the childrens area and looked at some of the animals then we went to get some lunch. For Lunch i got a hamburger which was $4.25! After lunch we went to see the lions and all the other animals. we went to the gift shop and i got a Elephant for Kailey that is colorful. (I brought Kailey to the Zoo) Then my mom told the girls that we were leaving just to make them happy but what she did not tell them is that we were going the long way that we had not seen to get back to the entrance. we left at about 5:30 pm and headed to the beach. We walked around the beach and then went to the rain forest cafe to eat but when we got there the wait was three hours so that would put us at sitting down at 10 or 11pm. so instead we went to a gift shop and got gifts for ourselves and for our friends and family. i got a snow globe for me and a necklace for my best friend. then we went to Wendy's and got dinner and Little Cesar's, then headed to the hotel. when we got to the hotel we got in out swim suits and headed for the pool. at 11pm we went up to the room and got ready for bed. after my shower i tried to stay up and watch Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen but i was so tired that i fell asleep.
Day 3 (Saturday, Today)
-I woke up right as my mom was leaving to go to the lobby and get breakfast so i told her to get me some and bring it up. i got up and started to pack before everyone got done with breakfast. then i did my hair and got Kailey dressed for the day. we left the hotel after loading it up with all of our stuff at 10:30 am and headed to the beach. we played on the beach for an hour and then went to rain forest cafe to eat lunch. it was a lot of fun. i got a burger and fries. When we left it started raining and got colder. We went back to the beach and took a few more pictures on some rocks and then went to two more gift shops before leaving to go home. i got some cute pictures of Kailey and sandy on the rocks with the beach in the back. we got home at about 9:30 pm and what was funny is that this morning we were at the beach playing in the water and got home and it was SNOWING! it is the first day of Spring and it snowed!
We had a lot of fun on the trip! i am really happy because i only go to school for 2 days this week then i get to go to corpus for a contest! so i am off to the beach on Wednesday and i am thinking about bringing Jess with me this time.
